Armed robbers stole cash and cigarettes from the Whitworth Co-op on Saturday (17 November).
Shortly after 7.30pm, four men wearing balaclavas entered the store off Market Street, armed with a variety of weapons and threatened the staff with violence.
A spokesperson for Lancashire Constabulary said: "At 7.40pm on Saturday, we had a report of an armed robbery at the Co-op in Whitworth. Four males wearing balaclavas entered the shop armed with a variety of weapons and stole cash from the till and a quantity of cigarettes."
Enquiries are ongoing.
