Collapsed wall closes Fishwick Street
Date published: 21 November 2018
Fishwick Street was closed from 5pm on Tuesday (20 November) after part of a wall collapsed into the road.
Police were called to reports of an insecure wall next to the former railway yard and closed the road in both directions between Milnrow Road and Stuart Street.
A spokesperson for Rochdale Borough Council said: “Fishwick Street had to be closed temporarily after a small section of a wall on neighbouring private land fell into the road.
“The road has now been partially re-opened, and we expect it to re-open fully soon.”
