  • Friday 11 January

Women in Business - What is a business plan? – Rochdale Town Hall, 9.30am – 1pm

A workshop for women who are running or thinking of starting a business from home.

Voices for All – Colour Yourself Calm – Brentwood Day Centre, 10am – 12noon

A way of relaxing, building confidence and self-esteem and making new friends along the way.

Save Samantha Music and Games Evening – Bo-Jangles Theatre, doors 6.30pm, 7pm start

An evening of entertainment with live music, live games and a raffle.

Castleton Literary & Scientific Society – Castleton Community Centre, 7pm

Tonights session is about 'Victor Frankenstein the Chemist' presented by Proffessor Sharon Ruston.

Live Music: The Shivers – The Flying Horse Hotel, band on 10pm

Get 2019 started with some fantastic live music at a fantastic venue.

Live Music: A Tribute to Queen – Empire Rochdale, 6pm – 4am

Join the Empire as they celebrate the musical legacy of Freddie Mercury and Queen.

  • Saturday 12 January

Heywood Model Railway  Group Open Day – Park Works, Heywood, 10am – 4pm

Do you have locos and stock but not enough space to run them? Come to one of these open days where you can stretch the legs of your locos.

Syke’s Market Place – Syke Methodist Church, 11am – 1pm

Market stalls with refreshments, home baking, bric-a-brac, crafts and lots more.

The Magnificent Organ of Rochdale Town Hall – Rochdale Town Hall, 12noon

An hour of beautiful music as Anthony Hunt plays the first of a series of organ concerts for 2019.

Asian Lifestyle Event – Castlemere Community Centre, 12noon – 6pm

Live demonstrations by a leading natural skincare brand, make up and hijaab styling demos, children's entertainment, indian street food and more.

Rochdale Rambers Saturday Walk – Starting at Healey Corner, 1pm

A circular walk of 5 miles from Healey Dell to Lower Healey and then on to Healey Stones and back to the start.

Hornets v Mayfield - The Battle of the Borough – Crown Oil Arena, 3pm kick off

An exciting day of rugby league as we see new signings in action, as well as local talent from the Rochdale area.

GMP Male Voice Choir and The Hometowners Folk Band in Concert – Saint Aidan’s Church Hall, 7.30pm

A concert of music and humour, given by Greater Manchester Police Male Voice Choir and guests who play and sing Irish, Scottish, Lancashire and other Folk Music.

Live Music: Take That Tribute – Empire Rochdale, 6pm – 4am

The ultimate Take That experience.

Bards of the Baum Folk ‘n’ Poetry Night – The Baum, 7.30pm

All are welcome to either read, play, sing or simply make up the audience. Your own or others' works both acceptable.
