Journalist Mirza Naeem Ur Rehman was presented with an acknowledgment shield by Rochdale Kashmiri Association (RKA)
A journalist and columnist from Pakistan has been presented with an acknowledgment shield by Rochdale Kashmiri Association (RKA).
Mirza Naeem Ur Rehman was presented with the honour for his work on Kashmir, especially covering atrocities on Line of Control, which divides the state of Kashmir between India and Pakistan.
The shield was presented by RKA chairman, Javed Akhtar in front of local MP Tony Lloyd, the Mayor Councillor Mohammed Zaman, local councillors and members of RKA.
All present asked Tony Lloyd to help Kashmiris to be included in the 2021 census and also raised the need for a Kashmiri state subject smart card for Kashmiri diaspora.
