RCT awarded in-kind support from the Home Office’s Building a Stronger Britain Together initiative

Date published: 28 January 2019

Rochdale Connections Trust (RCT) have received notification from the Home Office that they have been selected to receive in-kind support from international advertising agency, M&C Saatchi to a value of £75,000, through the ‘Building a Stronger Britain Together’ programme.

Bev Place, Business Development Manager at RCT said: “This £75,000 in-kind support investment will be invaluable in assisting RCT as we endeavour to counter extremism across all the services we offer.

“M&C Saatchi will be instrumental in equipping RCT to expand awareness of the charity and the work we do, alongside increasing our reach and influence locally through a professional branding exercise and marketing campaign.

“We are the only organisation selected for this investment in the Borough of Rochdale and it is an absolutely amazing opportunity to work with the world leaders in their field.”

‘Building a Stronger Britain Together’ was launched by the Home Office to support civil society and community organisations who work to create more resilient communities, stand up to extremism in all forms and offer vulnerable individuals a positive alternative. Organisations were invited to bid for grant funding (which RCT were awarded to deliver a counter extremism programme to vulnerable women accessing their domestic abuse provision last year) and in-kind support for specific projects that deliver this goal.
