Staff and customers decided to host the traditional pub sport tournament in aid of cancer research
A charity darts tournament at a Rochdale pub has raised over £600 for Cancer Research.
Just over 100 people took part in the event at the Roebuck on Yorkshire Street on Sunday (17 February), which also saw a generous raffle draw.
Staff and customers decided to host the traditional pub sport tournament in aid of cancer research after losing a couple friends to the disease, raising £602 for the charity.
Manager of the Roebuck, Rachel Mills said: “A lot of our customers enjoy playing darts, so we thought it would be a good idea to have a darts tournament.
“It was a very successful day with customers very keen to donate lots of lovely gifts to raffle.
“We have had lots of feedback from customers saying they really enjoyed the day and would like to do some more charity events in the future.”
