JW Lees appeared to have a problem at their brewery in Middleton today, Tuesday 19 March, as beer poured off the roof of the building.
It is understood that foam overflowed when a container got too full.
A spokesperson for JW Lees said: “It’s not a problem, it’s not unusual for foam to come out.”
Comments from locals passing included: ‘Think brewery has beer problem’, ‘Quick get some buckets, free beer!’ and ‘I guess the beers are on the house’.
