More than 100 refugees, asylum seekers and homeless people were fed by a Rochdale restaurant on Sunday (21 April).
A variety of people in need were fed with cooked food, such as chicken and rice and rice pudding, provided by Naz Restaurant on Milkstone Road.
The team were joined on the day by Shiraz Durrani, a Leicester businessman, who has previously helped support Rochdale’s needy.
Ghulam Rasul Shahzad OBE said: "I am thankful to Mohammad Sajid of Naz Restaurant for organising this for those members of our great town who deserve our support and help. I am also thankful to Shiraz Durrani. Feedback was very encouraging and positive.
“I am also pleased to say that, because of the success on Sunday, Naz Restaurant will be providing food every Sunday. I am asking businesses, organisations and individuals to join us to provide food to those members of our society who need our support and help."
Cooked food for those in need will be provided every Sunday at 1pm at Naz Restaurant, Milkstone Road, Rochdale.
