MP and councillor donate books to new school library

Date published: 26 May 2019

Local MP Liz McInnes and Councillor Ray Dutton visited St Margaret's C.E. Primary School in Heywood on Friday (17 May) to donate books for their new school library.

Councillor Dutton said: “The books were donated by the MP Liz McInnes, given to her from World Book Day.

“We really enjoyed meeting the Reception children and showing them the books.

“The library was recently opened in the memory of my wife, former Mayoress Elaine Dutton, who was a governor at the school.

“I was invited to open the library with my daughter, Sarah Cadogan, who is deputy head at Whittaker Moss Primary School.”
