Rosso to offer £1 bus journeys on Littleborough bus service this July

Date published: 08 July 2019

You can travel between Littleborough and Rochdale for just £1 every Wednesday this July, with a new discount deal on the Rosso Lakeline 457 bus service.

Lakeline 457 links Littleborough with Rochdale, and is named in honour of Hollingworth Lake, the 130-acre reservoir, country park and wildlife sanctuary close to Littleborough at Smithy Bridge.

Rosso introduced its new-look buses to Lakeline in summer 2018, with more customers using the service by October compared with the previous year.

Now, Rosso is offering a £1 fare for any journey on the Lakeline 457 on Wednesdays, to introduce more people to the benefits of hopping on a Lakeline bus.

The move follows the success of a similar promotion on Rosso’s route between Ramsbottom and Bury in the run-up to last Christmas, which attracted hundreds of extra customers.

Rosso Operations Manager, Tony Fiocca said: “We’re delighted to offer this amazing £1 Wednesday travel deal as part of our promise to make our Lakeline 457 buses better and easier to use for everyone.

“We now want to encourage more people to use the service for family trips out and about, and that’s why we’re offering such a very low fare on Wednesdays in July.

“We expect our low fare offer to prove very popular – so it’s first come, first served for the best value travel deal between Littleborough and Rochdale.”

The Lakeline 457 bus runs every 30 minutes between Shore and Rochdale, via Halifax Road, and includes a contactless payment system to purchase tickets.
