Live Music: Mellow Baku - Touchstones, Rochdale, 4pm - 5pm

Vocalist, songwriter, guitarist and performance poet, Mellow Baku, draws on sounds of soul, jazz, reggae, folk and blues, combined with live vocal looping improvisations and electronics to produce captivating soundscapes and songs.

Rochdale Reimagined - Number One Riverside, Tuesday 25 June 2019 - Friday 16 August 2019 Monday - Saturday 9am - 5.30pm

The exhibition of work by Masters degree students at the Manchester School of Architecture features more than 50 architectural proposals over five sites, including ‘In and Around the Railway Station’, ‘On and Around the Retail Park’, ‘On and Around Drake Street’, ‘On and Around Bell Street’ and ‘On the Riverside’.

Rochdale Children's Literature Festival - Number One Riverside, Rochdale, 10am - 4pm

Rochdale’s first Children’s Literature Festival.  Not only will there be a plethora of special guests, reading activities and performances, we will also be welcoming acclaimed authors, Michael Rosen and Frank Cotrell Boyce.

Paper Embroidery - Touchstones Rochdale, 10.30am - 12.30pm

The beautiful art of paper embroidery is an easy-to-learn technique.

Craft buddies Karen Vine and Trish Cartner will share with you how to pierce and hand stitch decorative detail to paper and card in combination with collage, stencils and ink stamps.

Peterloo: Witnesses to a Massacre - Middleton Library, 2pm – 4pm

Join the authors of the verbatim graphic novel PETERLOO: Witnesses to a Massacre for an illustrated, behind-the-scenes look into the research, writing and art that went into this historically accurate and visually vivid account of the 1819 massacre of pro-democracy reformers from around the Greater Manchester region.

Littleborough RUFC Rugby Taster Day & BBQ - Littleborough RUFC, 11am - 2pm

This Rugby Taster Day is aimed at girls and boys aged 6 - 18 years of all abilities. The event, including the BBQ, is free for all players and there is no need to book - just turn up on the day and join in.
