Your chance to nominate for council staff awards

Date published: 14 July 2019

Residents can now nominate a member of council staff or a team they feel deserves recognition as nominations are open for 2019’s Rochdale Borough Council ACE Staff Awards.

You could nominate someone who helps make your life better by dealing with your queries in a prompt and professional manner, or someone like a council gardener who ensures the grass and trees are well maintained.

You may know a council employee who makes a difference in your community, or someone who always goes the extra mile in their work.

There are eight categories to choose from, including a Community Action Award, Employee of the Year and Pride of the Borough Award.

Chief executive Steve Rumbelow said it is important to recognise the contributions made by staff: “We value the brilliant work our staff do on a daily basis and these awards give residents the opportunity to show their appreciation too. Each year local people tell us amazing heart-warming stories about the work that goes on. As well as customer-facing staff there are many others who work behind the scenes in operational and support functions that should also be recognised for their commitment to the borough.”

If you can’t nominate online or have any questions, phone 01706 926002. The closing date for nominations is Sunday 1 September.
