Meanwood Drummers, from Meanwood Primary School perform in the Music for Youth Festival
Children from Meanwood Primary School performed in the World, Folk & Roots, Session at the Music for Youth Festival in Birmingham on Wednesday 3 July.
Mrs Helen Vyse, Headteacher, Meanwood Primary School said: “Congratulations to Meanwood Drummers who are celebrating after getting through to the national finals of the Music for Youth Festival.
“The group of Year 5 & 6 pupils performed a piece composed for the event called 'Celebration' at the CBSO Centre & Royal Birmingham Conservatoire on 3 July and afterwards they enjoyed soaking up the festival atmosphere around Symphony Hall.
“The school is very proud of their fantastic achievement.”
