Wardle Village Fete, Mum2Mum Market Rochdale, Ride In, Rock Out! Bikeshow, The Drifters Live, Rochdale Hornets v Bradford Bulls, Barmy Bingo, Craft & Coffee Morning, Heywood Seven Stars & Bury Palais Reunion, Jazz on a Sunday and Birch Community Engagement Day - lots to do in and around the borough this weekend.

  • Friday 6 September

Craft & Coffee Morning – Christ Church, Healey, 10am – 12noon

Enjoy a variety of crafts over a cuppa and a chat.


Barmy Bingo – The Riverside, doors open 7pm – 11.30pm

The first game will be at 8pm with strobe lighting, loud music and dancing encouraged.


Live: The Drifters – Middleton Arena, 7pm – 9.15pm

Performing all their classic hits from the last six decades. 


Live Music: These Smiths + DJ Dave Sweetmore – Empire Rochdale, 6pm – 4am

The Smiths and Morrisey tribute hosted by Revolution Radio DJ Dave Sweetmore.

  • Saturday 7 September

PCA Manchester – Middleton Arena, registration starts 10am, show starts 12noon

The UK's best bodybuilders and fitness models will be competing to qualify for the 2019 PCA Finals in October.


Wardle Village Fete – Wardle Recreational Ground, 11am – 3.30pm

Stalls, food, crafts, donkeys, ice cream, fairground rides and a fun dog show.


Mum2Mum Market Rochdale – Heywood Sports Village, 2.30pm – 4.30pm

Sell any of your preloved, high quality items for children aged 0-6 years.


Heywood Seven Stars & Bury Palais Reunion – The Heywood Pub, 7.30pm – midnight

Dance and sing to the swinging music of the sixties - Beatles, Rolling Stones, Motown and more.


Live Music: Elton John Tribute Show – Empire Rochdale, 6pm – 4am

Performed by Jimmy Love & The Rocket Man Band from 10pm.

  • Sunday 8 September

Birch Community Engagement Day – Wardle High School (Anderson Suite & Car Park), 11am – 3pm

Free fun day to bring the community together and a chance to meet your neighbourhood support network.


Ride In, Rock Out! Bikeshow 2019 – Rochdale Town Hall Square, 12noon – 5pm

With all profits going to Moorland Children’s Home, enjoy live bands, craft stalls, food and real ales plus trophies for the bike show categories.


Queen's Park Car Boot Sale – Queen’s Park, 12noon – 3pm

Sellers should arrive at the tennis courts for 11am to set up their stall.


Toy Story Afternoon Tea – Queen’s Park Café, 12noon - 3pm

Fun Toy story themed craft activities for the children including making your very own Forky.


Rochdale Hornets v Bradford Bulls – Crown Oil Arena, 3pm kick off

The final fixture of the 2019 season.


Jazz on a Sunday – Newtown National Club, doors 7.15pm

Tonight we welcome Tame Valley Stompers.
