Man collapses in Kirkholt with life-threatening injuries

A man has been taken to hopsital with life-threatening injuries after he was found collapsed in Kirkholt.

Shortly after 1.30am on Thursday 5 September 2019, police were called to reports that a 54-year-old man had been admitted to hospital with life-threatening injuries to his head and face.

The man was taken to hospital after being found collapsed on Cavendish Road in Rochdale.

A 42-year-old man and a 59-year-old woman were arrested on suspicion of assault. They have since been released under investigation.

Enquiries are ongoing and anyone with any information is asked to contact police on 0161 856 68441 quoting incident number 152 of 05/09/19.
