Pretty in Pink Littleborough raises over £6,000 for Cancer Research

Date published: 04 December 2019

Little ‘Pink’ Borough has raised over £6,000 for Cancer Research UK this year.

As part of Cancer Awareness Month, shops and businesses across Littleborough paint the town pink with shades of rose, fuchsia and candyfloss-coloured bunting and decorations – all for a good cause.

This year, a total of £6,289.86 was raised through the campaign, which saw Althams Travel and the Pretty Parade boutique named as having the best window display.

The Little ‘Pink’ borough event was started in 2016 by The Three Amigos Fundraising Group – Andy and Kath O’Donnell, plus their late Yorkshire Terrier, Oscar – for their 10th anniversary in October 2016 to raise funds for Cancer Research UK.

Previous best window displays have been won by Reuse Littleborough, Beauty Boutique and Little Gift Box.

Kath O’Donnell said: “Thank you all who supported this, you have all been amazing.

“This year’s pink campaign has been the best yet and Littleborough certainly looked pretty in pink.”
