A special tram, produced in partnership with Transport for Greater Manchester, has hit the Metrolink network ahead of Dippy the dinosaur’s visit to Rochdale next month.

The famous dinosaur, which used to stand in the entrance hall at the Natural History Museum, will be visiting Rochdale from 10 February to 28 June as part of Dippy on Tour, which has attracted more than 1.5m visitors so far.

Visitors to Rochdale, Dippy’s only North West stop, will be able to meet Dippy in the council’s main office and customer service centre, Number One Riverside, and enjoy a major Dippy exhibition at local museum and art gallery, Touchstones Rochdale.

As Dippy is all about celebrating the natural world and protecting our environment, Dippy in the North West has partnered with Metrolink to encourage people to use sustainable travel options, like the tram, to get to Dippy in Rochdale.

The tram will be travelling across the network for the next 16 weeks.

Dippy on Tour: A Natural History Adventure, is being brought to Number One Riverside and visitors across the UK by the Natural History Museum in partnership with the Garfield Weston Foundation, and supported by Dell EMC and Williams & Hill.
