Dippy on Tour: A Natural History Adventure in Rochdale 2020 – Number One Riverside, Fri 14, Sat 15 & Sun 16 Feb 9.30am – 5pm

Rochdale has been selected as 1 of just 8 venues which will host Dippy the Diplodocus during his tour of the UK.


Dippy Exhibition – Touchstones Rochdale, Fri 14 Feb 9am – 5pm / Sat 15 & Sun 16 Feb 9.30am – 5pm

Explore the world of dinosaurs, what Rochdale was like during the golden age and what we can do to protect our planet.


The Gin Society Festival – Rochdale Town Hall, Fri 14 & Sat 15 Feb, various times (see link)

Be spoilt for choice with over 100 carefully selected gins, live music, premium rums and delicious Prosecco Royales.


The Secret Lives of Henry and Alice – The Curtain Theatre, Fri 14 & Sat 15 Feb, 7.30pm

By by David Tristram. Doors open at 7pm, tickets are £8.


  • Friday 14 February

"Raise the Vibration; Rise for Revolution" Dance Event – Rochdale Connections Trust, 11.30am onwards

Raising awareness that 1 in 3 women across the planet will be beaten or raped during her lifetime.


Junior Indoor Cricket Training – Falinge Park High School, 6pm – 9pm

Suitable for ages 7+.


Castleton Literary & Scientific Society – Castleton Community Centre, 7pm

'Valentines Reveries' - a poetic performance by the writing group.


Live Music: The Replicants – The Flying Horse Hotel, 10pm – 1am

We can't promise romance, but we can promise some rock n roll!


Valentine's Day Tribute Show: Take That Live – Empire Rochdale, on stage from 10pm

The ultimate Take That experience offering a ‘live tour’ experience.

  • Saturday 15 February

Saturday Lunchtime Concerts at St Chad's – Rochdale Parish Church, 12noon – 1pm

The first of this year's concerts. Songs with tenor, lute and guitar.


Boutique Baby Sale – Middleton – Bowlee Park Sports Centre, 2.30pm – 4pm

35+ stalls packed with top quality toys, clothes, prams, equipment and more.


Rochdale AFC v Tranmere Rovers – Crown Oil Arena, 3pm kick off

Sky Bet League One home match.


Messy Church – Moorhouse Methodist Church, 4pm – 6pm

A fun time of worship, crafts and food.


The Ian Newman Community Film Club – Bamford Chapel and Norden URC, film begins 7pm

This sessions film is Christopher Robin (2018) starring Ewan McGregor and Hayley Atwell.


Charity Last Night of the Proms Concert – St Aidan’s Church, 7pm – 10pm

With Wardle Academy Youth Band, St Aidan's Ukulele Band and a Soprano, proceeds will go to Springhill Hospice and St Aidan’s Church.


Live Music: Guns 2 Roses - Empire Rochdale, 6pm – 4am

Number one tribute to Guns N Roses.

  • Sunday 16 February

Exciting Science – Middleton Arena, 2pm – 4.30pm

Exciting and educational show for all ages from 4+ years.


Band Concert with Todmorden Brass Band – Littleborough Coach House, 2pm onwards

The first of a series of monthly winter concerts held in the warmth of the Coach House Harvey Room.


Jazz on a Sunday – Newtown National Club, doors open 7.15pm

Tenement Jazz Band make their debut at the club.
