GMP looks to re-engage retired officers amidst coronavirus pandemic

Due to the current unprecedented situation and the impact of coronavirus on policing and the community, Greater Manchester Police is looking to re-engage retired police officers.
Greater Manchester Police will be able to offer a range of roles from working on the front line, dealing with local investigation to supporting its call handling function and taking reports from the public.
According to figures from the BBC Shared Data Unit, as many as 1,350 officers retired from GMP over a five-year period.
