Rochdale men charged with firearms offences after reports of a man being shot

Two Rochdale men have been charged with firearms offences after reports that a man was shot in the early hours of Monday (6 April).

Sean Farrell, 30, and John Farrell, 49, have been remanded in custody to appear before Manchester Minshull Street Crown Court on Tuesday 5 May 2020.

Sean Farrell has been charged with wounding with intent, possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life or enable another to do so, and possession of ammunition with intent to endanger life or enable another to do so.

John Farrell has been charged with possessing a firearm, possessing ammunition for a firearm without a certificate, possessing class B drugs with intent to supply, and using electricity without authority.

Shortly before 12.30am on Monday, police were called to Manchester Road to reports that a man had been shot.
