Rochdale woman celebrates life-changing win from £3.60 online bingo stake

Date published: 20 April 2020

It was a moment to remember for one lucky bingo player from Rochdale, as she won a huge online bingo jackpot in just one game, claiming £49,646 through Mecca Bingo.

The winner, who has asked to remain anonymous, has been playing online with Mecca Bingo for more than five years but never in a main event before. She said she ‘screamed with excitement’ the moment she won as she never expected to win such a life-changing amount of money online.

The lady couldn't believe her luck when she claimed the incredible £49,646 jackpot on 7 April with a stake of just £3.60. She has never been abroad so intends to use her winnings to buy her first passport and take her family on holiday.

The lucky winner said: “I absolutely could not believe my luck when I saw that I had won, I’ve never been so excited, my heart was beating out of my chest. It was my first time playing a main event as well, I just can’t believe it still.

“My family have been through some rough times recently with illnesses and it was so refreshing to have something good happen. I just want my family to be happy and this will definitely help me to make that happen.”

Catherine Warrilow at MeccaBingo.com, said: “We’re overjoyed for the winner, we love to see when somebody wins big and it has such a positive impact for not only them, but also their family. We’re delighted that MeccaBingo.com played a part, it’s a wonderful feeling when someone wins big!”
