Beech House shortlisted for 2020 Independent School of the Year awards

Date published: 09 July 2020

Rochdale private school Beech House has been shortlisted for the Independent Schools of the Year 2020 awards.

Founded in 1850, the school is an independent co-educational school for students aged two to 16.

Principal Kevin Sartain said: "We are delighted that the school has been shortlisted for this award. Having been awarded Independent School of the Year in 2014, to be shortlisted again in such a short period of time is an honour."

Hosted in association with Independent School Parent magazine, the awards are designed to offer UK independent schools a platform to showcase their success stories and celebrate the student experiences they provide.

Now in its third year, finalists will be revealed on 7 September, followed by an awards ceremony on 5 October where the winners will be revealed.

Independent Schools of the Year are judged by and independent panel of experts, who will meet in the autumn to reach a decision on the winners and select highly commended schools from each of the 21 categories.
