HOPE Menswear becomes first Rochdale clothing retailer with virtual shopping experience

Date published: 25 July 2020

Norden-based menswear store HOPE Menswear has become the first clothing retailer in the Rochdale borough allowing customers to visit the store and shop virtually.

HOPE Menswear, formerly Denis Hope, has partnered with local virtual tour provider 360 Property Promotion to launch its innovative online shopping experience, after it was forced to close during the Covid-19 pandemic.

However, the Edenfield Road clothing store, has launched both an online store, and a virtual tour – allowing customers to navigate around the shop, view and purchase clothing without leaving home.

Oliver Hope, manager at HOPE Menswear, said: “Partnering with 360 Property Promotion has allowed us to provide an online shopping experience to match the quality of our in-store experience.

“We pride ourselves on our extensive range of quality clothing, and we are now able to share this with a wider audience.  The tour enables customers to get a feel of the store and the great ranges we carry, you can even link from the tour direct to our new online site which currently showcases a small collection of what we have in stock.

“The online store is constantly evolving now our business is getting back to some kind of normality.”

Ryan Maley, co-owner at 360 Property Promotion, commented: “Working with a well-renowned company like HOPE Menswear is a great way to showcase the power of our virtual tours.

“Although incredibly useful at any time, Coronavirus has accelerated the need for many businesses to provide a strong online presence, and we believe that virtual tours are one of the best ways to deliver this.”

HOPE Menswear is one of Rochdale’s oldest family businesses, having been established in 1959 by Denis Hope. Originally located on Drake Street under the name Denis Hope, the company was amongst the first to introduce the likes of Henry Lloyd, Lacoste, Sand, Canali and Aquascutum to the fashion-conscious of the North West.

In 2018, HOPE Menswear relocated to Norden, joining its sister store for women, HOPE.

Based in Milnrow and Newhey, 360 Property Promotion provides virtual tours and high-quality photography of spaces across a variety of industries - from office and retail space to pubs, restaurants and events venues.

Virtual tours allow a customer to explore and navigate venues from any device.
