Rochdale student eager to study dentistry after top tier A-level results

Date published: 14 August 2020

Ismail Awan from Rochdale secured top tier A-level results on Thursday (13 August 2020), when 17 and 18-year-olds across the country found out their college grades.

Completing his studies at Oldham Bluecoat College, Ismail achieved an A in Physics at AS level and three A grades at A-level Chemistry, Biology and Maths.

Ismail said: "I look forward to studying Dentistry at Manchester. I have worked very hard to get to this stage. I was predicted three A*'s - but the most important thing is getting into Manchester Dental School."

Ismail previously attended Hollingworth Academy in Rochdale, which he left in 2018, and received high GCSE grades - 4 Grade 9s, 3 Grade 8s, 1 A* and a Distinction*.

He is now looking forward to studying Dentistry at the University of Manchester.
