Littleborough & Areas Ladies Circle raise £3,786 for Rochdale & District Mind

Date published: 11 October 2020

Littleborough & Areas Ladies Circle has presented £3,786 to its 2019/20 charity of the year, Rochdale and District Mind.

Outgoing chair of 2019-2020, Heidi Murphy said: “Without the support of our local community, this wouldn’t have been possible. We’d like to thank all our friends and all local businesses that have supported us this last 18 months, from early 2019 to the last crazy few months of 2020.

“I’d also like to take this opportunity to wish Jessica Demain, a wonderfully happy and successful term as chair.”

Jessica’s chosen charity for her term as chair of Littleborough & Areas Ladies Circle is local charity TLC, Talk Listen Change, which provides a variety of subsidised counselling and relationship support services, from support for those affected by cancer diagnosis, through to families and young people impacted by domestic violence.

She explained: “Charities like TLC are facing a greater demand for their services during the current pandemic, alongside a significant decrease in voluntary income.”

Emily Williams from TLC said: "We are grateful and excited to be selected as Littleborough & Areas Ladies Circle’s charity partner of the year."
