Dippy in Number One Riverside
You can now visit Dippy on a Sunday, as the world-famous diplodocus is benefitting from extended opening hours.
From this weekend, you can now visit Dippy between 10am and 4pm on Sundays, making it easier for families to visit the dinosaur, who is currently calling Number One Riverside his home.
Dippy on Tour: A Natural History Adventure, opened in Rochdale, its only North West stop on his national tour, in February this year. The exhibit proved a star attraction, with almost 115,000 visitors coming to see the dinosaur cast in Number One Riverside and the accompanying exhibition at Touchstones Rochdale, before the tour was suspended in March due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Dippy’s stay in Rochdale was originally due to end on 28 June, but visitors will now be able to see the famous dinosaur cast at Number One Riverside and experience the Dippy exhibition at Touchstones Rochdale until 12 December.
The extended run has been arranged to allow people plenty of time to see Dippy safely, before he moves on to his final stop, Norwich Cathedral.
No booking is required for individuals or small groups to view Dippy at Number One Riverside but booking is required to visit the Dippy Exhibition at Touchstones Rochdale.
