Local poster competition open to Rochdale residents aged 13–18 with top prizes of £50 Amazon vouchers

Date published: 21 February 2021

If you’re between the age of 13 and 18, you could win a £50 Amazon voucher with Healthwatch Rochdale’s poster competition to launch its upcoming youth service, Youthwatch.

Youthwatch will build on the current work of Healthwatch Rochdale, the independent health watchdog for residents in the Rochdale Borough, specifically focusing on enabling the youth voice to be heard.

Youthwatch Rochdale will be made up of representatives of the youth of Rochdale, aged 13-18 years old, to help Healthwatch Rochdale understand the experiences of young people who use health and social care services and give them a voice in helping to shape future services.

The competition is to design an eye-catching persuasive poster with images/graphics to encourage young people to join Youthwatch.

Up for grabs are the following prizes:

  • Winner for the age 13 -14 category: £50.00 Amazon voucher.
  • Winner for the age 15-16 category: £50.00 Amazon voucher.
  • Winner for the age 17 -18 category: £50.00 Amazon voucher.
  • Runner up prizes – five winners will each receive a £10 Amazon voucher.

Kate Jones, Healthwatch Rochdale Chief Executive Officer, said: “This competition is the starting block of developing our Youthwatch which will help give the youth of Rochdale a voice in how local health and social care services are delivered.

“We want Youthwatch Rochdale to be developed and shaped by our local youth and our poster competition is the first step in giving our young people that opportunity.”
