Survey on local mental health services launched

Date published: 01 July 2021

You can now share your thoughts and experiences of local mental health services via two new surveys.

The surveys have been developed by Healthwatch Rochdale, one looking at adult mental health services and one looking at children and young people’s mental health services, to understand the experience of using services for all ages.

The surveys will run until Thursday 19 August and findings will be shared with the Mental Health Partnership Board and local commissioners so that improvements can be made based on residents' experiences.

All local people who have recently used a mental health service, or have tried to access them, are asked to share their views and experiences to provide Healthwatch Rochdale with the information needed to help make improvements.

Ben Greenwood, Healthwatch Rochdale interim chair, said: “There has been emerging evidence about the impact that Covid-19 and lockdown has had on people’s mental health.

“With local mental health services undergoing transformation we want to hear people’s experiences to understand how services are working for them and how they could be improved.

“We will be sharing information with the Mental Health Partnership board and HMR CCG to ensure patient lived experience is used to shape local mental health services.”

You can share your views on childrens and young people’s mental health services here.
