Fireground Museum Open Day – Maclure Road, Rochdale, Fri 8 & Sat 9 October, 10am – 4pm

Discover Greater Manchester's firefighting story with fire museum attractions on show.


Legally Blonde The Musical – Champness Hall Function Room, 7.30pm on Fri 8 October / 2pm on Sat 9 October

A fabulous award-winning musical based on the movie, presented by Rochdale Musical Theatre Company.


Exhibition: George Meyrick - Aligned Raised Lowered Offset Paired – Touchstones Rochdale, Fri 8 & Sat 9 October 10am – 5pm & Sun 10 October 10am – 4pm

George Meyrick uses simple geometric forms to create an uncertain visual experience.


Littleborough Scarecrow Festival – Littleborough Village, Sat 9 & Sun 10 October

Follow the map to spot the scarecrows around the village.


Wardle Scarecrow Festival – Wardle Village, Sat 9 & Sun 10 October

The trail with scarecrows on display will take approx 2 hours and is a nice leisurely walk.



  • Friday 8 October

Festival of African Arts, Culture, Dance and Awards – Touchstones Rochdale, 4pm – 10pm

An opportunity to come together and celebrate cultural heritage, organised by the Nigeria Community Association.


Dirty Dancing Night – Mercure Norton Grange Hotel & Spa, 6pm – 1am

Two course meal, entertainment, and disco with a DJ.


All Singing All Swinging! – Middleton Arena, doors open 7pm for 7.30pm start

Led by star of swing music, Ray Quinn, who starred on X Factor.


Live Music: The Phonics - Empire Rochdale, open 6pm - 4am, live music from 10pm

The UK's premier Stereophonics tribute band.

  • Saturday 9 October

Heywood Model Railway Group Open Day – Unit 4 Park Works, Heywood, 10am – 4pm

Have a look at our model layouts and get inspiration for you own models.


Rochdale AFC v Crawley Town – Crown Oil Arena, 3pm kick off

Sky Bet League Two home match.


Rochdale Music Society Concert: The Meraki Duo – Touchstones Rochdale, doors open 7pm for 7.30pm start

With versatile performers Meera Maharaj (flute) and James Girling (guitar).


Live Music: Special Brew MCR - Empire Rochdale, open 6pm - 4am, live music from 10pm

A seven-piece band with full brass section, playing mainly Ska, 2-Tone and Reggae.

Sponsored Alzheimer's Walk - Start and finish at Wallis' Amusements at Hollingworth Lake, 10am

Organised by Littleborough Lions, walk around the lake to raise money for Alzheimer's.


Alkrington Village Craft Market – Halloween – Alkrington Community Centre, 10am – 3pm

Free Trick or Treat bags to the first 50 children through the door!


Wedding Open Day – Mercure Norton Grange Hotel & Spa, 1pm – 4pm

See the hotel’s newly refurbished bedrooms and Bridal Suite.


You'll Be Old Yourself One Day – Bo-Jangles Theatre, doors open 1.30pm for 2pm start

A one man show featuring good clean family fun.
