Brimrod Primary School donates generously to Rochdale Foodbank this Harvest

Date published: 19 October 2021

A bountiful donation has been made to Rochdale Foodbank by Brimrod Primary School for their Harvest Festival celebration this year.

Children of all ages brought in a variety of non-perishable goods, which is donated to the local foodbank. The harvest period each year is one of the most beneficial times of the year for the foodbank, alongside Christmas and the festive season.

Joanne Morgan, school administrator at Brimrod Primary, said: “This will be the sixth year that we have supported our local foodbank, which we are very proud of. Each year we have seen the amount of donated items increase and the children love to see how much they have collected.

“Each class also learned a Harvest song which they performed beautifully in assembly. The sun shone gloriously into our school hall and it made it a memorable occasion.

“A huge thank you to all the parents who donated food items.”
