Rochdale Neighbourhood Task Force make three arrests in crack down on burglaries

Officers from the Rochdale Neighbourhood Task Force are cracking down on burglaries in a week of action

Police officers from the Rochdale Neighbourhood Task Force have made three arrests in a week of action on burglaries.

Following forensic evidence, the arrests have been made in connection with three separate burglaries:

• A property on Arthur Street in Rochdale was burgled back in March this year. A 17-year-old man has been arrested in connection with it in Oldham, and remains in custody for questioning.
• A property on Elm Street in Middleton was burgled last month. A 25-year-old man has been arrested in connection with it in Oldham, and remains in custody for questioning.
• A property on Gisburn Drive in Rochdale was targeted last month. A 16-year-old boy has been arrested in connection with it in Heywood, and remains in custody for questioning.

Inspector Graham Cooke from the Rochdale Neighbourhood Task force said: "Burglaries have a very real impact on those affected by them, and we won't tolerate this sort of behaviour.

"I hope these arrests will serve as some reassurance that we are committed to tackling this sort of criminal activity, and will continue to do so to make our communities safer."
