Fireground Museum Open Day – Maclure Road, Rochdale, Fri 22 & Sat 23 October, 10am – 4pm

Discover Greater Manchester's firefighting story with fire museum attractions on show.


Exhibition: George Meyrick - Aligned Raised Lowered Offset Paired – Touchstones Rochdale, Fri 22 & Sat 23 October 10am – 5pm & Sun 24 October 10am – 4pm

George Meyrick uses simple geometric forms to create an uncertain visual experience.


Rochdale Canine Country Club Open Weekend – Unit 1 Liley Street, Rochdale, Sat 23 & Sun 24 October, 11am – 3pm both days

Rochdale Canine Country Club is a unique day care for dogs - you can meet the team at their open days this weekend.



  • Friday 22 October

Castleton Literary & Scientific Society – Castleton Community Centre, 7pm

Presenters include authors, local historians, film makers, engineers, scientists and travellers talking about their interests and passions. Non-members welcome.


Frankie Allen – Live! – Middleton Arena, doors open 7pm for 7.30pm start

Frankie Allen brings his no-holds-barred comedy roadshow to Middleton Arena for one night only.


Live Music: Soul Revolution - Empire Rochdale, open 6pm - 4am, live music from 10pm

12-piece band Soul Revolution specialise in Soul and Funk.

  • Saturday 23 October

Meet and Greet: Dan Rhodes – Puttstars at Rochdale Riverside, 11am – 12noon

Since his Britain’s Got Talent appearance, homegrown magician Dan Rhodes has become the UK’s fastest growing YouTuber with over 12 million subscribers.


Halloween Giant Globe – Rochdale Riverside, 11am – 3pm

The globe will be haunted by two creepy performers to add an extra touch of terror between 12noon and 2pm.


Prostate Cancer Testing Day - Study Centre on Willbutts Lane, 11am – 2.30pm

All men are encouraged to attend, arranged by Rochdale AFC in conjunction with the Barry Kilby Prostate Cancer Appeal.


Listening Lounge – The Mind Wellbeing Centre, 1.30pm – 4.30pm

A free walk-in or self-referral service for anyone aged 18 and over run by Rochdale & District Mind.


Rochdale AFC v Sutton United – Crown Oil Arena, 3pm kick off

Sky Bet League Two match at Spotland.


Live Music: Stax of Soul – The Flying Horse Hotel, live music from approx 10pm – 12.30am

Genuine soul band born and bred in Manchester in 1983.


Live Music: The Marley Experience - Empire Rochdale, open 6pm - 4am, live music from 10pm

Tribute to the late great King of Reggae, Bob Marley.

Craft Fair – Rochdale Sports Club from 10am

Get started on Christmas shopping with the Rotary Club of Rochdale.


Sunday Soul Club – Hoochi Koochi, 3pm – 9pm

Featuring weekly special guest DJ sets and exclusive performances from great soul singers.
