The scene on the M62 at weekend
Over 120 lorries were stuck on the M62 on Saturday morning (27 November) after Storm Arwen led to partial closure of the motorway.
Junctions 21 at Milnrow and 22 at Denshaw were closed for over eight hours after heavy snow hit the region at around 2am.
North West Motorway Police fully closed the eastbound carriageway, forcing vehicles to turn back to junction 21.
Snow ploughs and gritters were deployed and the motorway reopened around 11.20am on Saturday.
