Man charged in connection with Alkrington burglaries

A man has been charged with two burglaries and eight attempted burglaries after a number of incidents reported in Alkrington, Middleton.

Lukman Atakan, 21, of no fixed abode, has been charged in connection with a number of incidents reported between 12 December 2021 and 21 January 2022.

He will appear at Manchester and Salford Magistrates’ Court on Monday (24 January).

On Saturday, police received a report that a man was attempting to gain entry into a property in Alkrington before the suspect was detained by Police Dog Kyp after a short foot chase.
