Celebrity Organ Concert, live music from a tribute act – Aka Noel Gallagher as well as a live performance from Manchester Ska Foundation, Fireground Museum open day, Mind Body & Spirit Fayre, Rochdale Hornets v Midland Hurricanes, Listening Lounge, Castleton quiz night, three Talking Heads-style short plays at the Curtain Theatre and a new exhibition at Touchstones - The Centre of the Frame - lots to do in and around the borough this weekend.

Covid-19 Vaccine Clinics

There are a number of drop-in vaccination clinics running at various locations across the borough. No appointment is needed for any of the clinics, but people that are booked in elsewhere should stick to their existing appointments.

Fireground Museum Open Day – Fireground, Maclure Road Open 10am - 4pm, Friday and Saturday

Fire Museum attractions are on show including historic and recent day artifacts.


Wild Cards – The Curtain Theatre, Saturday 29 January - Saturday 5 February

Three new Talking Heads style plays.


Exhibition: Helen Cammock – Concrete Feathers and Porcelain Tacks – Touchstones Rochdale, Friday and Saturday open 10am - 5pm, Sunday open 10am - 4pm

Stories, hopes and principles of Rochdale’s histories are given new context by looking at their relevance and resonance today.


Exhibition: Jasleen Kaur – Gut Feelings Meri Jaan – Touchstones Rochdale, Friday and Saturday open 10am - 5pm, Sunday open 10am -4pm

Exploring Rochdale’s heritage and history from a different perspective.


Exhibition: Maud Sulter – The Centre of the Frame – Touchstones Rochdale, Friday and Saturday open 10am - 5pm, Sunday open 10am -4pm

Photographs of contemporary Black women artists, writers, performers and activists, dressed as the nine Greek Muses.

Castleton Literary & Scientific Society – Castleton Community Centre, 7pm

The Internet – past, present, future presented by Adrian Cornforth.

Castleton Quiz Night – St. Martin’s Community hall, 7.30pm

Quiz night with prizes and everybody can have a go.


Listening Lounge – The Mind Wellbeing Centre, 1.30pm – 4.30pm

Free walk in or self-referral service for anyone over the age of 18.


Celebrity Organ Concert – Rochdale Parish Church, 3pm – 4pm

Performance by John Robinson, organist at Blackburn Cathedral.


Live Music: Manchester Ska Foundation - Empire Rochdale, open 6pm – 4am, live music from 10pm

Highly energetic professional Ska band.
