Newbold power cut affects over 800 properties

A power cut in the Newbold area of Rochdale (4.45pm, Wednesday 11 May) is affecting over 880 residents and businesses.

Electricity North West says the power cut has been caused by an "unexpected incident on the high voltage cable that provides electricity" to homes and businesses, including Crown House Vets and the nearby traffic lights.

It is preparing to send a team to investigate the issue, which was first reported at 4.30pm.

An estimated time of restoration has been given as 7.30pm.
