Littleborough Sports Centre gym refurbished

Date published: 14 June 2022

The gym at Littleborough Sports Centre has been kitted out with an £18,000 investment in equipment and facilities.

The refurbishment – in direct response to member feedback to enhance the gym – includes an extensively kitted out free-weight area and dedicated functional training zone alongside refreshed workout spaces.

Your Trust – a charitable organisation which manages Littleborough Sports Centre and several leisure and cultural venues across the borough of Rochdale, including Hollingworth Lake Adventure & Water Activity Centre – is inviting residents to try out the new facilities for free at an open day on Saturday 18 June.

From 9am to 4pm there will be demonstrations on how to use the new equipment, Q&A sessions with staff and free classes including TRX, body conditioning, dancercise and yoga.

As well as free access to the new gym area for those aged 14 and over, members can bring a friend for free.

Chris Coleman, director for operations, commercial and wellness from Your Trust, said: ‘We are absolutely delighted to enhance our fitness offer at Littleborough Sports Centre with the introduction of new free-weight and functional training zones.

“The new equipment is in direct response to customer feedback and will help us to continue with our aim of supporting the local community to live active, creative, happy and healthy lives.”

As a not-for-profit leisure and cultural trust, all Your Trust’s profits are reinvested back into its activities and facilities across the borough including Rochdale Leisure Centre, Heywood Sports Village, Touchstones Rochdale, Middleton Arena and sessions that take place in the local community.
