Springhill Hospice celebrates with Summer Garden Celebration

Date published: 02 August 2022

Springhill Hospice will once again open its gates and welcome back supporters to its annual Summer Garden Celebration, on Sunday 7 August 2022.

Volunteers, colleagues, families and friends are all invited to join Springhill Hospice in their award winning gardens, for a day filled with exciting entertainment, delicious food and drink and stunning scenery.

More than 30 stalls will be set up in the hospice gardens, providing a vast selection of goods; ranging from garden decor, pizza ovens, Asian street food, BBQs, crafts and so much more.

Supporters of Springhill’s Sunflower Appeal will be able to collect their personalised sunflower plaques, from the beautiful collection station in the hospice gardens. These personalised sunflower plaques dedicated to a loved one will act as a reminder of happy memories, and help bring sunshine into supporter’s homes.

Jo Ali, Events and Projects Fundraiser at Springhill, said: “The Summer Garden Celebration event is the perfect day out for the whole family. There truly is something for everyone! We are delighted to have live entertainment all day from local musicians and performers. There will plenty of refreshments including a BBQ, Springhill’s own pizza oven and a Pimms bar. It is a chance to tour our 4 acre estate and buy plants and produce from our gardens. There are a variety of stalls selling everything from home décor to confectionary.

“For many, it will also be a chance to see their sunflower plaques on display in memory of their loved ones. This is the first time our new head gardener Michelle is opening up the gardens to the public, and we would love to see our grounds full of visitors to appreciate the fruition of her hard work.”
