Rossendale & Pendle Mountain Rescue Team volunteers were mobilised along with the North West Air Ambulance Charity
A young teenager has been airlifted to hospital after falling into a ravine near Heywood on Tuesday (9 August) afternoon.
The boy had fallen from his mountain bike down an embankment towards the River Roch, suffering from potential hip and leg injuries.
Emergency services were called to the scene including the North West Air Ambulance Charity, the North West Ambulance Service and the Rossendale & Pendle Mountain Rescue.
