Date published: 22 August 2024

Year 11 pupils at Matthew Moss High School have been congratulated for their impressive GCSE results today (Thursday 22 August).

This year’s cohort have shown "remarkable levels of composure and agency" which is reflected in the grades they have achieved. As leavers move on to the next stage of education, they also leave MMHS with strong CHANGE dispositions that will help them build on this success.

Of special note are the impressive performances of Sanika Khan (four grade 9s and two grade 8s);  Danish Iqbal (three grade 9s and three grade 8s): Ibrahim Malik (two grade 9s and six grade 8s);  Matthew Brown (two grade 9s and two grade 8s); and Hamda Sanaullah (one grade 9 and five grade 8s).

Headteacher Charlotte Leach-Rogers said: “I would like to thank all staff for their continued dedication and hard work, and parents for their continued support, as, together, we have navigated learners through their secondary education journey. Learners deserve the good results that have been achieved and the school continues to demonstrate strong academic achievement, especially in English and the sciences.

On behalf of all members of the MMHS community, I would like to wish Year 11 all the very best for the future."
