The car smashed into the Co-op store on Saturday
Police have said the driver who smashed into the side of the Co-op in Milnrow over the weekend had lost control of the car for reasons which are “unclear.”
The busy village shop was taped off by officers on Saturday (28 September) after the car crashed into the wall of the store on Dale Street in Milnrow at around 9am.
As of today (Monday 30 September) the store remains closed.
A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Police confirmed that the injuries do not seem serious, and that it’s unclear whether or not the driver suffered a medical episode.
The wall has been left destroyed close to the cash machine at the front of the building, with some bricks displaced.
