Rochdale Judo Club retained Greater Manchester Trophy

Rochdale Judo Club (RJC) retained the Greater Manchester Trophy after a dominant display at the recent County Championships.

The trophy is awarded for the most medals achieved by a participant club and for the second year running this was RJC.

The club's junior section medal haul:

Serena Cape – Gold
Jack Sheppard – Gold
Ryan Kelly – Gold
Taylor Whitehead – Gold
Elliot Hampshire – Gold
Christopher Lau – Silver
Dominic Lau – Silver
Jake Brearley – Silver
Ebony Smith – Silver
Liam Ellis – Bronze
Adam Hudson – Bronze
Luke Greenhalgh – Bronze
Oskar Siprowicz – Bronze
Harrison Massey – Bronze

Dave Duffy (BJA 6th Dan) said: "RJC senior section performed admirably, David Hulme taking a hard earned silver medal, and Luke Giller also claimed silver after losing in a very tightly contested final."
