Rochdale AFC Strollers
Rochdale AFC Strollers won the over 65s walking football competition at Heywood Sports Village on Friday 10 November.
Eight teams from across the country competed in the tournament.
Hvaing progressed to the knock-out stage, the Strollers faced Chadderton in the final. In a hard-fought game, they won after a penalty shootout at the end of a drawn game.
Steve Colesby, who played for the Strollers, said: “It was a great experience for many of the guys who had not played competitive football for many years and some who thought they never would again.”
