Rochdale AFC Strollers
Rochdale AFC Strollers finished as runners-up in the North West regional finals, held at Bolton Wanderers.
The Strollers advanced through their group, beating Accrington Stanley, Bury and Wigan Athletic, and drawing with Blackburn Rovers, Preston North End and Bolton.
That saw them finish second in the group of seven, before beating Oldham Athletic in the semi-final.
They were beaten 1-0 by hosts Bolton in the final but have secured their place at the national finals on 10 July at the FA’s national football centre, St George’s Park.
Dale's Head of Community, Keith Hicks, who was a member of the squad for the regional finals, said: “Thanks to this amazing bunch of lads for allowing me to be part of the team that has progressed to the national finals of the competition.
“A few injuries throughout the competition held in boiling hot conditions meant the squad being depleted for the final but the skill, commitment and teamwork proved to be a major reason for progressing so far."
