Cricket: Heywood Cricket Club teams for the weekend

Crimble stages a triple header this coming weekend as the season hits top gear.

Heywood Monkeys start their T20 campaign against Heyside Hyenas on Friday night.

On Saturday it’s back to Greater Manchester Premier League action for the senior side when Roe Green are the visitors.

And Sunday sees the Second XI take centre stage when they entertain Deane and Derby in the second round of the Second XI Cup.

The second team are also in action the previous day when they go to Royton as they look to extend  their unbeaten start to the Division Four East season.

  • Heywood Monkeys (Heyside Hyenas, T20 1, home, Friday, 6pm): T Townsend (capt), R Cross, D Pawson, S Burrill, J Morley, R Paterson, A Dawson, W Hunt, D Latham, M Witts, T McQuinn.
     
  • Heywood First XI (Roe Green, home, Saturday, 1pm): T Townsend (capt), R Cross, A Kerr, D Pawson, S Burrill, R Paterson, T McQuinn, D Latham, A Dawson, W Hunt, C Kaye.
     
  • Heywood Second XI (Royton, away, Saturday, 1.30pm):  S Evans (capt), R Bennett, C Booth, J Kaye, M Witts, S Dawson, L Clarkson, C Hilton, O Thomas, J Keyworth, T Pagett.
     
  • Heywood Second XI (Deane and Derby, home, Sunday, second round of Second XI Cup, 1pm): R Smethurst, D Fawcett, C Kaye and W Taylor replace C Booth, M Witts, S Dawson and C Hilton.
