Rugby Union: Littleborough Colts 15 - 34 Sefton

Date published: 04 October 2018

Littleborough Colts lost their first game of the season, put to the sword by a sublime Sefton side.

Sefton took the lead with two tries from their centre pairing running from deep and wrong footing the Littleborough defence.

Harry Gee led the fightback for Littleborough were soon pressuring the Sefton line. Ben Stott scored to a narrow the gap to 12-5 at half time.

Using the advantage of the Rakewood slope in the second half, Sefton opened up and some clinical finishing kept the scoreboard ticking over.

Sefton were very composed and clinical finishing pushed the score to 34-5.

Quick thinking from Bradley Watts, a constant thorn in the Sefton side, and Nolan, switched the Littleborough attack and allowed Jacob Harrison to dive over for Littleborough's second.

Littleborough continued to attack saw Holmes twist and go over for Littleborough's third in the dying seconds.

Next week sees the colts take on Aldwinians in league action. Finishing as champions is the only thought running through the side. A very realistic goal for a team really enjoying their rugby.
