Rugby Union: Bolton U11s 12 - 8 Littleborough U11s

Date published: 06 November 2018

Bolton are always a tough team to play away, and Sunday (4 November) was no different for the Under 11s in a physical contest at Avenue Street.

There were some powerful hits that you could hear on the pitch-side being put in by both teams in a contest that shadowed that of England and South Africa just 24 hours before.

As the game progressed, the Under 11s realised where they needed to improve, and as a team they sorted it out themselves, showing their creativity, resilience and discipline.

Their skills were really put to the test on the lines of defence, they won back possession of the ball numerous times and continued pushing their opponents back because their communication with one another improved.

In what was a feisty game, Littleborough’s Under 11s represented the colours and badge of their shirt, and club, with pride and respect.

Daniel Taylor is building quite the reputation as he managed to find the try line on five occasions. Following up closely was Callum Sharrocks with two and Timon Warby with the single score to his name.

Though Bolton had enough to grind out a 12 tries to 8 victory, Littleborough can certainly hold their heads up high with a valiant performance.
