Sailing: Hollingworth Lake Sailing Club

Date published: 06 November 2018

Richard Marsh was crewed by Adam Din in the RS200 taking the first race win, on Hollingworth Lake Sailing Club on Sunday 4 November and went on to have a couple of second places.

However, it was again Martin Brennan in his Solo that had the best results overall taking the second and third race wins.

There were others in the fray with good results. Richard Long gave up his crew place in a GP14 to sail his Streaker and secured 4th and 3rd places. Les Burns and Alice Morris in a GP14 showed improved form with a fourth place in the last race, which was shortened as the wind almost died away.

Hector Droungas and Jacob Din, usually racing against each other in Toppers, got together to try and master an RS Feva with its spinnaker. Such young sailors learn quickly and no doubt their results will soon make a mark.
