Football: Rochdale Ladies 2 - 1 Sale Ladies

Date published: 17 April 2019

A goal in either half saw Rochdale AFC Ladies claim a 2-1 victory over Sale Ladies on Sunday (14 April).

Dale started brightly and took the lead through Emily Hindle early on, but couldn’t double their lead despite dominating the game.

Errors in defence led to the visitors grabbing an eqauliser, but Dale restored their lead shortly after the break.

Lucy Pillin and Olivia Storto linked up well, with Storto grabbing the goal which would eventually seal all three points.

Dale’s next game is away to Salford City Lionesses on Sunday 28 April (2pm kick-off).

Training for the Ladies Open Age team takes place on Monday evenings, 6pm-7pm, at the Soccer Factory in Rochdale.

They are always on the lookout for new players, especially as they aim to rebuild for next season.
