Sailing: Hollingworth Lake Sailing Club at North West Junior Travellers Series
Date published: 16 October 2019
Hollingworth Lake Sailing Club's young sailors went to Bolton on Saturday (12 October) for the final round of the North West Junior Travellers Series.
In the awkward westerly airstream, they scored well with Daisy Fisher junior eighth overall, in the fleet of 44 competitors, being first junior. Hector Droungas was 20th, ahead of Jasper Bramwell in 26th and Jacob Din in 27th place.
This was also part of the Topper dinghy Traveller series where there have been 62 competitors. In this series, Daisy Fisher finished 3rd overall (and first girl), while Jasper Bramwell won in the smaller 4.2 sail division.
A few sailors ventured out to race on the Lake on Sunday (13 October) though the wind was light and became lighter still as the day wore on.
